Due to an overprotective father and a tragedy involving her mother, Myra has been forced to watch from the shadows for most of her life, with the exception of one night spent dancing with Daniel, only to have it end in misunderstanding and heartache. When Daniel finds her alone and in need of help in the woods shortly after an attack on her family's castle, he offers her protection and help in fulfilling her brother's last request of her, and he hopes to rectify the misunderstanding that pulled them apart in the first place. Daniel and Myra had great chemistry from the beginning and their history together, just made it all the more intriguing. I found both characters very engaging and the story kept me riveted until the end. I look forward to reading Ronan and Julianna's story in the next book in this series, The Highlander's Warrior Bride, expected out March 2013. Great Series!
