With the ranch work falling a bit behind since her husband’s death, Nell hopes Charlie will be the helping hand she and her brother need to get the ranch back in shape, but Charlie’s past may put them all in danger. Both grieving the death of a spouse, Nell and Charlie are drawn to each other from the beginning, but many factors stand in there way, the situation only compounded by Charlie’s secrets, and I wish he would have confided in Nell a bit earlier on, instead of dragging it out for so long making Nell’s insecurities worse. I liked Nell’s mystical connection to the animals, and thought that was a neat aspect to her personality. As with the second book in this series, there are multiple storylines all going on at the same time, giving it a bit of a soap opera feel, that I really enjoyed. There are so many interesting characters in this series and I can’t wait to continue with the next installment in their adventures!
