Devlin is all about work, and he holds his employees to high standards—some might say too high—but, when he loses his temper at work with a rival for a leadership role he finds his place in the company in jeopardy. Devlin’s father hired Ayron to provide counseling to his son, but Devlin isn’t supposed to know she is anything more than a new friend—which becomes quite a bit more complicated when they move way beyond friendship. Devlin’s got a hot temper and is a bit of a loose cannon, so Ayron had her work cut out for her here, but I liked the way she softened him. They were an unlikely, but interesting pairing. I wished I could have related to Ayron a bit more, her personality seemed a bit sporadic (good girl with jarring bursts of wild). I loved Devlin’s determined pursuit of her—he was sweet!
