Pete and Carver had been together for six months when it became necessary for Carver to move home to Kentucky to help take care of his parents, and he worried that Pete wouldn't follow him. This is a short story centering on their Christmas visit to Kentucky together, sort of a trial run before any final decisions needed to be made. I loved how the story was interspersed with bits of their past together. Pete's interaction with Carver's parents was sweet, and everything about these people was so real that I really got attached to all of them as the story went along. Great read!
