Gwendolyn had noticed some interested looks as she worked as a maid at the Manor House, but was surprised when the Lord of the Manor demanded his Right of First Night just after her wedding. Interesting scenario, that left Gwendolyn with little time to think up a strategy to deal with the Lord’s actions, though she seemed a bit too willing and lacking in loyalty to her new husband, in my opinion. I also wish the ending had provided a bit more closure, or at least a hint of what would follow.
