John Paul is dark, brooding and very intriguing and Avery is just right for him. She doesn’t take any of his crap and is nearly as stubborn as he is. I loved the slow evolution of their relationship, the mystery was wonderfully complex and there were a few parts that were down right hilarious. Noah, from the first two books, makes a small appearance near the end of this book, and a few other previous characters from this series are commented on. I look forward to the next book, Murder List, about Alec, another one of the Buchanan brothers.
