Lila has always been easily distracted and prone to getting into scrapes, and her need to compete with her many older male cousins doesn't help her self-image much either, so when her parents decide to leave on a vacation she jumps at the chance to prove she can handle running the ranch while they're gone, and two new ranch hands (Jet and Houston) are hired on to help her. This has a little heavier BDSM element then some of the others in this series, with Jet and Houston having some formal Dom training that they put into practice. Lila was immature, stubborn and quite often acted like a brat, but she could be sweet too, and once Jet and Houston took off some of the rough edges, I really liked Lila and sympathized with her trying to make peace with her femininity (something she never had any use for in the past and was ashamed of). I liked the meddling family ghost bit, that was great, and I hope to see more of her in coming books. I love the interesting supernatural talents of Lance, along with his crows, and I hope his sons are next. You can't go wrong with Native American Highlander Cowboys! Great Series!
