Scarlett wakes up after her death and finds her new reality, as a Cerulean, a disappointment to say the least. This book begins with Scarlett largely in the dark, surrounded by secrets and people with hidden motivations, and she is deeply grieving for the life she left behind—seemingly for not. This book answers nearly all of the questions left open by the first two books, and in very interesting, creative ways—some of which I saw coming, and some of which came as a complete surprise. By the end of this book everything was falling into place and I was very satisfied with the answers given for everything. I vacillated throughout the story between being angry with Jude and feeling sorry for him, but I really hope he finds happiness somehow. Loved the ending! Eagerly awaiting the next installment in this series!
